Dual Enrollment Checklist - New Students

An overview of Dual Enrollment can be found on the Dual Enrollment main page.

Each step on the checklist must be completed by that step’s deadline below.

  1. Review the contract and checklist and review the Dual Enrollment Information Session (held January 30, 2025, on TEAMS.) A replay of the meeting can be found Dual Enrollment main page.

  2. Deadline is March 31:
    - Complete the admission application for the college you plan to attend by going to the college’s admissions website – make sure you choose Dual Enrollment for your application (do not apply as a regular freshman).
    - Use your Personal email on your application and check both that email and the email address given to you by the college on that portal to submit any additional documents required by the college (residency/immunizations/etc.).

  3. Deadline is March 31:
    - Create GAfutures account and apply for Dual Enrollment on GAfutures (see instructions page). Have your parents do their part as well.
    - All male students turning 18 must register with Selective Service to get funding paid for by the State. Visit www.sss.gov by their 18th birthday.

  4. Deadline is March 31:
Request the following be sent to the college

    A. Request transcript through gafutures.org for all Georgia colleges. Transcripts will be available on gafutures.org starting February 4, 2025. Auburn First transcripts should be requested through Ms. Ammons in Bridge West by emailing her at ammons@fultonschools.org.

    B. Send either ACT/SAT scores or schedule to take the Accuplacer (GSU/GTC/other 2-year college you plan to attend) by the college deadline. Check to see if the college requires test scores for admission.

Students applying to a Technical College can use their 10th grade PSAT scores as their entrance exam. Email Ms. Ammons in Bridge West (ammons@fultonschools.org) to send PSAT scores if necessary.

    C. If AP scores are required for placement – request those through www.collegeboard.org to be sent to the college before the college deadline.

  5. Deadline is March 31:
Complete the FCS DE Contract and submit to Bridge West – write down all classes on both the CHS Course Selection Form and the FCS DE Contract (include ALL summer, fall, and spring classes.)

  6. Deadline is May 16:
Submit proof of college acceptance via email to camhsdualenrollment@fultonschools.org to avoid placement in a face-to-face high school class.

  7. Deadline is May 23:
Register with the college for your college classes at the earliest opportunity given by the college (college classes fill up fast). The college will send registration directions and confirmation to your college email.

  8. Deadline is May 23:
Send a copy of your college class schedule to camhsdualenrollment@fultonschools.org as soon as you enroll and before the deadline set by Cambridge to avoid being put in high school face-to-face class.
