October 8 and 9, 2024

The PSAT will take place on October 8, 2024, and the SAT will follow on October 9. More information on the assessments and preparation for the tests is available at:

SAT School Day

Tuesday, October 8

Freshmen will take the PSAT8/9, and Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT Tuesday, October 8. This is a mandatory assessment from the county. Student testing locations will be at the front and back entrances. Students must plan to be here by 8:15 a.m. and in their testing locations at 8:20 a.m. Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. will not be allowed in the testing rooms.

Students MUST test on their school-issued device and update BlueBook by opening their testing folder before the test.

School will be dismissed for the day at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the end of the exam (no need to check students out.) Buses will run their regular routes and times, and students remaining on campus until the buses depart will report to the Media Center for a supervised study hall.

Seniors will not report Tuesday, October 8, and attend classes asynchronously.

Wednesday, October 9

Seniors will take the SAT on Wednesday, October 9. This is a great way to get a free practice run or take it for real and send scores to schools. Students must plan to be here by 8:15 a.m. and in their testing location by 8:20 a.m. Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. will not be allowed in the testing rooms.

Essential Tips for All Students

  • Students are automatically registered and do not need to register for the test they will take.
  • Students DO need to register in BlueBook, the College Board testing application for ALL College Board assessments, including AP course exams.
  • Students MUST test on their school-issued device. Students must also update BlueBook by opening their testing folder before the test. A readiness check was completed, but we ask that students again take this step before test day.
  • It is vital to be here on time! Students will not be able to test after we begin, and it will delay their assessment and impact makeups later. Students must be here by 8:15 am on test day.
  • Students cannot wear smartwatches or have any electronic devices other than their school-issued devices. Phones must be turned off and in bags away from desks.
