School, Community, and Curriculum Highlights

Cambridge High School continues to educate, challenge, and inspire students to reach their full potential and achieve college and career readiness. This mission drives options for rigorous academic courses, exploration of career and performing arts pathways, and opportunities for athletics, clubs, and community service.  Opening its doors in August of 2012, Cambridge serves the communities of Alpharetta and Milton, northwestern suburbs of Atlanta. The school currently has an enrollment of 1,668 students. Cambridge Bears sport navy blue, Carolina blue and white as the official colors.

Cambridge focuses on instruction and relationships. “Be the Bridge” (or B²) is not just a hashtag, but an expectation of all students to be Brave, Respectful, Involved, Determined, Generous and Engaged in their education at Cambridge and in their membership in the Cambridge community. Cambridge offers six classes and opportunities for individual enrichment and advancement each day through our B² program. The school year consists of two 18-week semesters. Students have a wide array of programs, courses, and experiences available to shape their academic, physical, and social well-being.

Over 40% of the student body at Cambridge participates in the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program. Students selected for the TAG program have the opportunity to enroll in directed study courses, and internships. Performing arts and visual arts are available to interested students along with career technology pathways. Students interested in exploring careers can choose from several options including Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science,

Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Law and Justice, and Engineering. Students can also choose to participate in Work Based Learning programs and in dual enrollment opportunities.

Cambridge Bears have 25 athletic teams to grow their talents and fitness. Last year Cambridge finished as the #4 overall AAAA athletic program in the State, with the girls finishing #3 while the boys finished #4 in the state in the boys’ rankings. Twenty teams qualified for state playoffs including 2 State Champion, 1 State Runner-Up, and 10 additional top 10 state finishes. Cambridge also finished as the Region Director’s Cup Winner for the 6th consecutive year and had eight Region Championships & seven Region Runner-Ups. Cambridge had six individual state champions and 24 student-athletes signed to continue their sports in college.

In addition to athletics, Cambridge has over 70 clubs, service organizations, and honor societies.

Cambridge educates, challenges, and inspires our students to reach their full potential by being brave in their choices, respectful of differences, involved in the community, determined to succeed, generous in giving of their time and talent, and engaged in setting goals for their own education. At Cambridge, students, faculty, and staff strive to “Be the Bridge” to a healthy and safe present and to a successful and happy future.
