Deliveries

Student Items Drop-off and Form Pick-up

To align with the procedures used at other high schools in our zone and to enhance campus security, Cambridge High School will require parents and guardians to enter the building when dropping off items for students during the school day.

Parents should park in a designated visitor parking space and use the front doorbell. Upon arrival, they will be asked to present identification and provide:

  • Their name
  • The name of the student they are assisting
  • A description of the item being dropped off

Once verified, parents will be buzzed into the vestibule area, where shelves are provided for student drop-offs. After leaving the item, parents should exit the building.

Approved Student Drop-Off Items

The following items may be dropped off for students:

  • Books or classroom materials
  • Athletic equipment
  • Music equipment or instruments
  • Food items (must be in a sealed bag or lunch container)

Items Not Permitted for Drop-Off

The following items will not be accepted:

  • Drinks of any kind, including coffee, smoothies, shakes, or other beverages
  • Balloons

We ask that beverages not be dropped off because they may leak, spill, or spoil during the school day. Students may purchase drinks during lunch, use vending machines located throughout the building, or bring a personal water bottle to school.

Picking Up Forms from the Front Office

This same procedure will apply when picking up documents from the front office. The document pick-up box, previously located outside the building, will now be located inside the entrance. Parents may be buzzed in, retrieve their envelope from the designated shelf area, and exit the building.

Outside Delivery Services

Delivery of outside orders is not permitted at Cambridge High School.  Deliveries of food, flowers, balloons, etc., are not allowed (even if paid).  All deliveries will be refused.  Food deliveries will be confiscated without a refund.  We love to celebrate our students, but outside delivery personnel pose a security risk to our building, our students, and our staff; therefore, no deliveries will be accepted.

Visitors

Parents/Guardian and Guest Visitors

Visitors or guests conducting official business must check in with the Front Office (located on Bridge East).  All visitors must produce a valid physical driver's license at the door camera for entrance and again in the Front Office.

To ensure student safety, Fulton County Schools requires all visitors, parents, and legal guardians to present a valid physical ID to the Front Office (located on Bridge East) when:

  • Checking out a student
  • Checking in as a visitor

All IDs are scanned through our security system, Checkmate, as part of our safety protocols.

Name badges/stickers will be issued for visitors.  These badges must be worn at all times while in the building.

Digital IDs

To ensure student safety, Fulton County Schools requires all visitors, parents, and legal guardians to present a valid physical ID when:

  • Checking out a student
  • Checking in as a visitor

All IDs are scanned through our security system, Checkmate, as part of our safety protocols.

While the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) offers a Digital ID (mDL), we cannot accept digital IDs at this time because they are not compatible with Checkmate. Please refer to the GA Digital ID Terms and Conditions, which note that a physical ID may still be required in certain situations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
